Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on employee performance at PT. Mega Central Finance, Marelan Branch. In an increasingly competitive financial services industry, employee performance plays a crucial role in achieving organizational success. Although performance trends show improvement, they have not yet reached the company’s optimal target, indicating the need for further improvement. This condition is suspected to be influenced by varying levels of emotional intelligence and OCB among employees. Emotional intelligence refers to the ability of individuals to recognize, manage, and control their emotions and those of others, while OCB represents voluntary behaviors that go beyond formal job requirements and contribute positively to organizational effectiveness. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 29 employees selected using purposive sampling. Secondary data were obtained from literature and company documents. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 24, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that all research instruments are valid and reliable, and the data meet the requirements for regression analysis. The findings show that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, meaning that employees with better emotional control, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills tend to perform better. OCB also has a positive and significant effect, indicating that voluntary behaviors such as helping colleagues and demonstrating organizational loyalty improve work effectiveness. Simultaneously, emotional intelligence and OCB significantly influence employee performance, with a contribution of 45.7%, while the remaining 54.3% is influenced by other factors such as motivation, leadership, and job satisfaction. In conclusion, improving emotional intelligence and encouraging OCB behavior are important strategies to enhance employee performance at PT. Mega Central Finance, Marelan Branch.
